Menu Plan 2/16-2/20

Monday: spaghetti ~ I plan on making a BIG pot. Some for tonight, some for tomorrow, and some will be frozen for after baby (or when I get too lazy to cook)

Tuesday: leftovers ~ Adi has dancing

Wednesday: something on the go ~ going meet Piggy at the airport, ssshhhhh it's a surprise

Thursday: homemade hot wings with carrots and celery sticks

Friday: crockpot something or other ~ It's parent teacher conference day so that means no school. Add that to the 3 days Adi will be home next week for Mardi Gras and that's a 6 day weekend! After I go to her conference I need to go do some blood work and get my Rhogam shot, yeah fun day, I know........

Spring Cleaning: Update

I have been making progress I promise!! I planned on uploading some more pics today but there's this problem...... Piggy had to go on a job for work, in another COUNTRY and decided to take the camera with him. He is supposed to be back Wednesday night'ish so I will try to update with pictures sometime Thursday!
I tackled the mountain of laundry and have managed to keep up with it.
I want to rearrange the living room. I need Piggy to move the entertainment center. I will dust it then. (I'm a little scared to see what is under/behind that thing!)
The dishes WERE washed and 'up to date' but I came down with a virus Friday and fell behind again, I will be working on that again. (Isn't it amazing how fast they pile up as soon as your sink is clean!?!)
I am still working on the bookshelf and the desk. Oh, and I need some kind of organizational plan for that cabinet. It's the first flat surface when you walk in the house so EVERYTHING ends up there! That's still on my to-do list as well!

Spring Cleaning for Normal People

I've been meaning to post about joining Crystal over at Biblical Womanhood while she declutters and organizes her home. I figured what perfect timing! I am finally getting some energy back and I need to get everything in order before baby comes. I am a little late getting started, so far they have worked in the living room and the kitchen. Here are my top priorities in those two rooms: (not for the faint at heart, things are a MESS)

A computer desk that needs to be organized

A bookshelf that needs some TLC

Laundry that needs to be folded and put away

An entertainment center that needs to be cleared off

And dusted

A kitchen cabinet that needs to be cleared

And dishes that need to be washed

That isn't EVERYTHING that needs to be done but I figure if I can get those main things done it will inspire me to tackle everything else. Let's not forget the kids toys that need to be purged, the coupons that need to be filed, the boxes of clothes that I need to go through, the pre-baby shopping and stockpiling.. Whewwww.... that made me tired just typing it!!

No menu this week either!

My oven broke last weekend. The heating element broke in half. We ordered the part and it was supposed to be in last Friday. Well....... It's still not in. It was supposed to be 'rushed' but it didn't get put on the truck to go out. Now they are saying it will be in Monday. It's kind of hard to plan a menu when you don't know what cooking appliances will be available! Last week we had a few crock pot meals and this weekend was grilled foods. Tomorrow will be leftover grilled porkchops, chicken, and hotdogs. Hopefully the part will come in and I can get back to planning a REAL menu!
