So I'm Not Lazy!

Or at least not THAT lazy!! This pregnancy has been so exhausting. I have a hard time getting up in the morning and I feel like I can never get going during the day. I figured it was part of being pregnant having two young children to deal with and just kept my mouth shut. I didn't need anyone saying I was being whiney!

I went do my routine bloodwork last Thursday (including my glucose test YUCK!). Friday I had to bring Adi to the doctor, while I was gone my OBs office called. They never called on my cell and I didn't check the caller ID until after their office was closed for the day. Over the weekend I felt HORRIBLE. I felt like I couldn't breathe, I was weak, dizzy, the works. Monday morning I called the doctor first thing in the morning. The nurse/midwife told me that I am severly anemic. I explained what was going on that weekend and she said that could very well be caused by the anemia. They prescribed iron supplements to take in addition to my prenatals. Today is day 2 and while I don't feel like I have anymore energy I also don't feel like I am going to pass out!

I can't wait for the nesting to kick in! I want to get some meals and snacks in the freezer before the baby comes. I am doing what I can to save my sanity those first few months!!!

Erin's hotSacks Giveaway

I have been following Erin's blog JANE4girls for a while now. She is doing a hotSacks giveaway. I have always wanted to bring my own bags to the store but I guess I was a little embarassed. These bags are too cool though! They don't have a store logo on them so you can use them anywheres. Check out the hotSacks page and see all they have to offer. I especially like the Ultimate Bag Set that holds all of your other bags! Oh, and don't forget about the produce bags!

If you would like to enter the giveaway as well check it out here!

First Step to Order

I think it has finally hit me that I will have 3 kids in about 3 months. Crystal at Biblical Womanhood is doing a series on regaining structure in her home. Her first step is to stick to her morning routine. You can read more about it here. I figure it can't hurt to try and follow along with her.

Here is my proposed morning routine:
1) 5:45 Up and out of bed, eat breakfast
2) Light exercise for about 20 minutes
3) Get dressed and make myself 'presentable' ;)
4) Get Adi's clothes out and make sure all of her school work is together
5) At 6:30 get Adi up and ready for school
6) Adi catches the bus around 7:10
7) Start a load of laundry
8) Get breakfast ready for KK

I have some ideas for scheduling the rest of the day but I want to get this down before I go on to the next step.

Crazy Life!

While I didn't post a menu plan for last week I DID follow one :) Things here have been crazy, what's new I know!!! Adi has been sick, last week she had fifths and this week she ended up with some funky stomach virus. I am hoping we are done for a while! Luckily, KK hasn't caught any of it *knock on wood*! I will be back later to post a few things, I have a bunch in mind that I want to do! Have a great Saturday!!!!

Menu Plan 1/5 - 1/11

Time for a new year, and hopefully the self discipline to be able to stick to a menu plan!

I made a loaf of make ahead french toast over the weekend. Breakfasts will either be french toast, cereal, oatmeal, or grits. I need to use up somethings that I have so I can begin stockpiling again. I would like to have a full stocked pantry before the baby comes. That way I won't have to worry about Piggy going shopping and coming home with nothing that was on the list! :)

Monday - honey glazed ham
Tuesday - crock pot chicken
Wednesday - leftovers
Thursday - homemade pizza
Friday - hotdogs & chili
Saturday - tacos
Sunday - baked redfish

Financial Goals for 2009

Wow where did 2008 go? It seemed to fly by!

I just finished reading Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and I'm ready to make positive changes in 2009. Hopefully by posting my financial goals I will hold myself more accountable.

1.) Re-build emergency fund. I say re-build because we had a small amount of savings but our refrigerator decided to go out on us today and we had to buy a new one. What a way to start off the new year! I will be keeping track of our savings at the bottom of my blog homepage. I'm hoping to get at least a few dollars in there by the end of the month, that zero looks pitiful!

2.) Have all debt except student loans paid off by December 2009.

It may not seem like a lot to most people but to is that is MORE than enough! We have about $2000 in credit card debt and lots of medical bills. Maybe I'll make a debt countdown ticker as well.

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and had a wonderful 2009!
