This week is a special themed edition of WFMW - What Doesn't Work for Me.
What doesn't work for me is - sending DH grocery shopping. If you're lucky he will buy what's on your list..... plus tons of other stuff!! Most times I think he must lose the list on the way to the store because he manages to buy a basket load of items and NOTHING is what you asked for! Now, I do the shopping myself preferably without him!

Sorry about the date, I typed this earlier but can't figure out how to change it to today!
Oh my...I couldn't imagine sending my DH to the grocery store! I am pretty sure we'd end up with more Hot Pockets and Fritos than anything else..LOL!
ReplyDelete:)
lol I sent Hubby grocery shopping ONCE and he came back having gone $100 over the grocery budget with much less food than I would have.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one with this problem! ;) My husband can't run to the store without buying ice cream, Ding Dongs, chips, candy and more. I now send my daughter (she's 17) to the grocery store with a list and I only give her enough cash to buy what I need.
ReplyDeleteHa! You are speaking my language. Approximately 18 years ago, when we were having babies, he tried to take over grocery shopping for me, because I was too nauseated to face a store full of (gag) food. After appoximately four weeks of this, I packed myself a vomit bag and took back the reigns. It was a real sacrifice, but a woman has to do what a woman has to do.
ReplyDeleteDH can be trusted to pick up one or two emergency items on the way home from work, but even then, a couple of two-liter bottles of soda almost always mysteriously appear alongside the gallon of milk or loaf of bread. Sigh.
